White Gourd Porridge
120g fresh white gourd,
1. Clean white gourd,drain well,cut into small cubes. Set aside.
2. Boil water in rice cooker.
Add rice, bring to boil over high heat.
Continue to cook for 30mins over low heat,stir 3-4 times during cook.
Add white gourd cubes,bring to boil over high heat.
Continue to cook for 20mins over low heat.
3. Cool down,serve.
Serving Method.(10 servings)
Serve at breakfast and dinner time as main food. 100g per serve.

White Gourd with Chicken Soup
250g white gourd
150g chicken blocks,(cut into small blocks)
5g ginger block
5g shallot section
2 pieces of garlic
1/2 tsp rice wine
1/2 tsp salt
1.a. Clean white gourd,cut into slices (best keep the peel).
b. Cut chicken meat into small blocks.
c. Boil 500g water in a soup cooker. Turn off heat,place chicken meat in a strainer,put the strainer in the water and take out at once.(This procedure is to remove chicken smell)
2.a. Pour out water from the cooker.Add the rest 500g water.
b. Add chicken blocks in the water,Add ginger,shallot,rice wine.
c. Bring to boil over high heat and then turn to low heat.
d. Cook for 50mins over low heat.
e. Add white gourd,add salt to taste.Cook 10mins over medium heat.
f. Turn off heat. Let the soup stay for 10mins with cover before serve.
Serving Method:(4 servings)
Serve at lunch or/and dinner. 100-200g per serving.
