Rice with Fresh Lotus Leaf Porridge
half piece of fresh lotus leaf
1. Clean lotus leaf,drain well,set aside.
2. Boil water in rice cooker
Add rice,bring to boil again.
Place lotus leaf on the surface. Cover the cooker.
Cook for 40mins over low heat.
3. Uncover,take out the lotus leaf.
Add salt to taste.
Boil 5mins over high heat.
4. Serve after cool.
Serving Method:(10 servings)
Serve at breakfast and dinner as main food.150g per serve.

Steamed Duck Wrapped in Leaf Lotus
200g duck meat blocks
1 piece fresh lotus leaf
9g rice flour
3g glutinous rice
1 piece of star anise
1 tsp ginger powder
1 tsp shallot,minced
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tsp rice wine
1/2 tsp soy sauce
1. a.Cut star anise into small pieces.
b.Place star anise and glutinous rice in a wok.
c.Stir and fry over low heat until thoroughly cooked.
d.Place the above cooked star anise and glutinous rice in a muller,crushed into glutinous rice powder. (if you feel trouble,you may directly use glutinous powder and star anise powder).
2. Mixed ginger,shallot pepper,rice wine and soy sauce,add glutinous pwoder,marinate duck blocks in it for 20mins.
3. a.Cut lotus leaf into 4 pieces.
b. Put marinated duck blocks in the 4 pieces of leaf, wrap well respectively.
c. Place the 4 leaf packages on big plate or a steamer drawer and put in a steamer.
d. Steam for 2 hours. Turn off heat,stay for 5mins,serve.
Serving Method:(4 servings)
Serve at lunch or/and dinner as main dish. one package per serve(about 50g per serve).
