Small Red Bean(Adzuki Beans)

Small red bean contains very little fat,only 0.5g per 100g,but contains more sugar 58g per 100g. It's healthy obesity diet food. According to the Chinese ancient medical books Compendium of Materia Medica (BenCao Gangmu) and Food Therapy Herb(Shiliao BenCao),small red bean has the function of invigorating spleen and stomach,diuresis,and making thin if people eating for a period of time. So,small red bean has good effect to lose weight.

1. Small Red Bean with Peanut Porridge Recipe

Ingredients:

10g small red bean

10g peanut

50g rice

500g water

Procedure:

1. a.Clean rice,set aside.

   b. Clean small red bean and peanut.

2. a.Add water,small red bean and peanut in a cooker.

   b. Bring to boil over high heat.

   c. Turn to low heat,cook for 60mins,or until small red bean half cooked.

   d. Add rice, cook for 40mins.

   e. Turn off heat,serve.

Serving Method:(4 servings)

 Serve as main food at breakfast,lunch or dinner.100g per serving.

2.Partridge Meat with Small Red Bean Porridge Recipe

Ingredients:

A fresh clean partridge (or same quantity of partridge meat)

50g rice

30g small red bean

15g ginger(one or several pieces)

5g salt

1000g water

Procedure:

1. Cut partridge into small pieces.

   Clean rice, small red bean.

   Boil 400g water in a rice cooker.

   Turn off heat.

   Add partridge in the hot water, taking out after 1min.

   Pour out water and clean the cooker.

2. Add the rest 600g water in the cooker.

   Add the partridge,ginger and small red bean.

   Bring to boil over high heat.

   Turn to low heat and cook for 60mins, or until the partridge meat is thoroughly cooked.

   Take out ginger, add rice, bring to boil.

   Cook for 30mins.

   Add salt to taste. Cook for additional 5 to 10mins.

3. Turn off heat. Cool, serve.

Serving Method.(8 servings)

 Serve at lunch as main food.80g per serve.
