For a long time,potato is regarded as a food containing too much sugar and
not suitable for lose weight. But nutritionists think that reasonable potato
diet also can have good effect to lose weight.
Potato is low fat and low heat. Though it contains 158g sugar for per 1kg,the
heat it contained is only one-fifth of that of rice, the fat it contained is only 0.1%,70% of that of
flour. Potato contains excellent protein, getting to 2.3%. It's the champion
among the vegetables at this point.It also contains rich edible
fibre,vitamineB,C,and minerals such as Ca,Mg,K,etc. The nutritional value of 1kg
potato equals to that 1.75kg apple. American nutritionist claimed that only
eating whole milk and potato per meal can meet all the nutrition requirement
that body needs.
Taking potato as a food to lose weight, you can get to the good effect if you
reduce other main food intake.
Obesity Diet Food- Potato Recipe
Stir-fried potato with Tomato
Ingredients:
50g potato
25g tomato
25g onions
5g olive oil
1/2 tsp soy sauce
1/2 tsp salt
Procedure:
1.a. Peel potato,clean,drain well,cut into 3cm X 3cm slices.
b. Cut onions and tomato into same size slices,too.
2. a. Heat the oil in a wok to about 110C.Add onions,stir 2 times,add soy
sauce.
b. Add potato slices,stir-fry 2mins over medium heat.
c. Add 2 tbs boiled water,cover and simmer for 5mins.
d. Add tomato,stir fry 3mins.
e. Add salt,stir fry 2mins.
d. Pour out to a dish,serve.
Serving Method:(one serving)
Serve as side dish at lunch or dinner.
