Leek

Leek is healthy obesity diet food which contains rich dietary fibre but less fat.

Leek contains volatile oil which can promote appetite and reduce blood lipid. It has some treatment effect to hypertension,coronary heart disease, and hyperlipemia.

Dietary Fibres containing leek can promote intestine's motility and reduce intestine's absorbing fat. So it helps to lose weight.

In traditional Chinese Medicine,leek is Yang tonic.

Leek in spring season is best,in summer is worest. Leek cannot serve with beef and honey.

Obesity diet food- leek recipe

Stir-fried Leek with Mung Bean Sprout Recipe

Ingredients:

200g leek

150g mung bean sprout

10ml olive oil

1/2 tsp soy sauce

1/2 salt

Procedure:

1. a. Clear mung bean sprout and drain well,set aside.

   b. Clear leek,drain well,cut into 3cm long section.

2. a. Heat the oil in a wok until about 110C.

   b. Add mung bean sprout and leek,stir several times,add soy sauce.

   c. Continue to stir fry 3mins over high heat.

   d. Add salt,stir fry 2mins.

   e. Pour out to a dish,serve.

Serving Method:(4 servings)

Serve as main dish or side dish at lunch or/and dinner.85g per serving.
