Crab Roe with Tofu Recipe
Crab Roe with Tofu is traditional Shanghai featured dish. Tender tofu absorbs the fragrance of roe. Very delicious!
Like all the people living near water, Shanghainese love seafood very much,especially crab. Crab is regarded as top class seafood and crab roe is the top of the top. The Crab in Yang Cheng Lake(a lake not far from Shanghai) is regarded as the best crab in Changjiang triangle area.
1 block tofu,soft
3 female Crab,big
2 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoon stock
1 tablespoon shallot,chopped
1 teaspoon ginger powder
1 teaspoon garlic, chopped
1 teaspoon rice wine
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon cornstarch,mix with water
1. Clean the crab, steam 10-15mins. After cool,pick out the roe.Set aside.
2. Cut Tofu into 2cm cubes.
3. Heat oil in a wok, add crab roe,stir fry several times. Add Seasoning A, stir fry till fragrance comes out.
4. Add tofu cubes, sway the wok to make the tofu spread.
5. Add stock and Seasoning B. Stir and slip spread, simmer 5mins.
6. Turn off heat, serve.
