This Chinese Orange Chicken Recipe is the restaurant way to cook.

It should be the most delicious cooking method. If you are heart disease free, overweight free, then you can try. Adding some orange skin thin thread can help to digest.

Chinese Orange Chicken Recipe (Deep fry)

Chinese Orange Chicken Recipe


1 box orange juice

1 teaspoon sugar

1 block boneless chicken breast

1 cup vegetable oil (will use up 3 tablespoon)

Sauce A for marinating meat

1 teaspoon rice wine

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon soy sauce

Sauce B for deep fry coat

1 egg

2 tablespoon cornstarch

2 tablespoon wheat flour

Sauce C

1 tablespoon scallion, chopped

1 teaspoon garlic, chopped

1. Clean chicken breast. Cut thin flakes, cut three times. Don't cut off for the 1st 2 times. Cut off for the 3rd time. See the picture. This will make the meat like flowers after fry. Across cut if it's too long. Repeat for the rest meat.

2. Make meat dry as possible as you can. Marinate in Sauce A for 15mins. Coat with Sauce B.

3. Add vegetable oil in a wok, cover at least 1/3. Heat oil about 50-60 centi-degree. (You can try by using a piece of chive. It's the right time if the chive move and not move too fast. It's too hot if move too fast).

4. Add coated chicken one by one till meat turns to brown-yellow color.(under medium-high heat).

5. Place the deep fried chicken on a piece of oil absorbent paper.

6. Leave 1 tablespoon oil in the wok. Add Sauce C, stir fry till fragrance. Add chicken, stir.

7. Mix 2 tablespoon orange juice and 1 teaspoon sugar, add in the wok. Stir well.

8. Arrange on a plate, sprinkle some orange skin (thin strip).

Chinese Orange Chicken Recipe (Pan fry)


1. Cut the chicken breast into thin flakes, marinate with salt,rice wine and soy sauce for 15mins.

2. Coat a thin layer bread crumb.

3. Heat a tablespoon oil in a saucepan, place chicken flakes, pan fry on both side.

4. Cut pan fried chicken into small pieces.

5. Heat oil in a wok, add garlic and chive, stir till fragrance. Add chicken pieces, stir fry. Add orange juice and sugar, stir well.
