Abalone Carrot Millet Porridge recipe

This Abalone Carrot Millet Porridge recipe is cooked for 60mins. Soft and smooth, suitable for senior people.


60g abalone
150g carrot
100g millet

Seasoning A

1 teaspoon ginger, chopped
1 teaspoon garlic, chopped
1 teaspoon shallot, chopped
1 teaspoon rice wine

Seasoning B
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1/4 teaspoon salt


1. Clean carrot and abalone. Cut carrot into small pieces(same size as green bean).

2. Grind abalone into fish mud, put in a bowl. Add Seasoning A, stir well. Set aside.

3. Clean millet, put in a saucepan, add 5 cups water, bring to a boil, simmer for 30mins with cover.

4. Add abalone mud and carrot, stir well. Continue to cook additional 30mins. Add Seasoning B, stir well. Turn off heat. Serve when it becomes warm.

Serving Method: Serve with warm 2 times a day. A small bowl each time.

Beneficial Function: To nourish Yin and supplement kidney, reduce blood sugar. Suitable for diabetes caused by kidney Yin deficiency, especially those who has complication with eyes.
