Sweet and Sour Chicken
no deep fry

This Sweet and Sour Chicken keeps sweet&sour dish flavor and crispy taste by baking. No deep fry. Very less cooking oil used. Many materials used help to boost metabolism. It's delicious healthy Chinese food.

Sweet and Sour Chicken

Ingredients:

1 piece of chicken breast (about 100g)

1/4 green bell pepper (you can find the one with a little spicy if you like spicy food)

1/2 cup carrot chips

1/2 cup canned pineapple


Marinade Sauce

1/4 tsp salt

1 tbsp soy sauce

1 tbsp rice wine

1 tsp cornstarch

Coatings

1/2 egg

1 tbsp cornstarch

1 cup or more crumbs

Sweet and Sour Sauce

3 tbsp tomato sauce

1 tbsp rice vinegar

1 tbsp soy sauce

1 tbsp sugar

1/2 cup water

Water Cornstarch

1 tbsp cornstarch

1 tbsp water

Preparation:

1. Cut chicken breast into bite size cubes.

   Marinate in Marinade Sauce over night.

2. Cut carrot, green pepper and pineapple into bite size cubes. Set aside.

3. Coating: Mix chicken breast with egg liquid;

   Coat with dry cornstarch; Coat a layer of crumbs.

4. Arrange coated meat on a baking tray and sprinkle some cooking oil on the meat. Put the tray into the oven.

   Set the temperature to 210C(410F). Bake uncovered for 10mins.

5. Mix Sweet and Sour Sauce well. Mix water cornstarch well.

6. Heat wok. Add Sweet and Sour Sauce. Stir to prevent sticky.

7. Add green pepper, carrot chips, and pineapple cubes.Stir fry 1min.

8. Add Water Cornstarch, stir fry till almost thicker.

   Add chicken breast cubes, stir fry till totally coached and thicken.

9. Pour in a plate, serve warm.

Function: Promoting appetite. As only a little cooking oil is used, and tomato sauce, rice vinegar, pineapple and green pepper help to digest. it's suitable for people with obesity, heart disease, hypertension, etc.

Tips: 1. Canned pineapple is better than fresh one. If you use fresh pineapple, it may taste too acid.

2. Add in chicken cubes only when the sauce is almost thicken. Otherwise, you have to stir fry longer time and the meat won't keep crispy.
