Braised Chicken Wing Recipe, Healthy Chinese Recipe

In this Braised Chicken Wing I used rosemary, thyme as ingredients. Other ingredients include soy sauce, crystal sugar, and rice wine. This is typical Shanghai style Braised meat sauce (hong shao, 红烧 in Chinese).

There are three parts in chicken wing. I used the first part (drum) which contains more meat. The rest two parts actually contain more collagen which is good to our skin and good for those who are with high blood pressure.

I know most people don’t eat chicken skin. But don’t peel until you serve. Keep the skin when you cooking. This will make the meat tender and reserve more nutrients. In the meantime, the nutrients in the chicken skin such as collagen protein will come to the juice. Don’t worry the fat. There is no much fat in the skin of chicken wing.

This is mouth watering dish. Even inside the meat has very strong fragrance flavor. ( As I added Sauce for two times). It’s better served with steamed rice.
